This event will last from 9 AM- 12 PM.  Please plan to stay the entire event.

 

Description: The Girls on the Run 5k, presented by Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, is the culmination of Girls on the Run's 10-week season. More than 1,200 girls ages 8-14 will celebrate their "girl power" by running 3.1 miles with their coaches, families, friends, teachers and community members.

 

One Brickers may man a water station, cheer on the race participants, pass out refreshments, etc. 

 

Important Information: Parking is free and available at Rynearson Stadium.  Look for “Volunteers Entrance” signs for sign-in tables.  Wear comfortable clothes and shoes as you will be on your feet and outdoors. Consider sun protection and/or rain gear.
Other Info: We will be heading out to lunch for a social after. Please bring money if you wish to join. All One Brick volunteers must be 21 years of age or older.

Girls on the Run® is a non-profit prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Our curricula address all aspects of girls' development - their physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual well-being. Our mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Girls on the Run of Southeastern Michigan (GOTRSEMI) is an affiliate council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 174 locations in the United States and Canada. GOTRSEMI serves the counties of Washtenaw, Livingston, Monroe, Lenawee and Jackson. Girls on the Run of Southeastern Michigan is a community collaboration and is funded by fees, donations and grants. GOTRSEMI relies entirely on the generosity and support of local individuals, businesses and organizations.
