Description:

This event will last from 9 AM-11:30 AM. Please plan to stay for the entire event.

Description: World Medical Relief’s mission is to help the medically-underserved both at home and abroad by collecting and distributing medicines, medical equipment, medical supplies, and related materials. One Brick Detroit will sort medical supplies for international needs. We will be working in a warehouse. Medical experience is not required. Important Information: Medical experience is not necessary. Volunteers will be working in a warehouse. Please be sure to wear comfortable, closed toe shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting a little dust on. The gate to the building will be open until 9:15 AM for entry. World Medical Relief will give a brief orientation.
Other Info: We will be heading out to lunch for a social after. Please bring money if you wish to join. All One Brick volunteers must be 21 years of age or older.

Mission and Goals of World Medical Relief: Our mission is to facilitate the distribution of surplus medical resources where they are needed. As such, our programs have both a local and international focus. Goods are distributed in a non-discriminatory manner without regard to race, color, gender, religion, nationality or political beliefs. In pursuing the mission, the Board of Directors, volunteers, and staff seek to: •Relieve human suffering •Demonstrate respect for all customers, clients, and patients •Collaborate with community organizations collectively to provide services to those in need •Maintain a proactive approach to improving services provided.
Please Note: There is a fenced and gated parking lot. Enter the building through the back door of the building, take the stairs to the second floor, go through that door, and follow the yellow dots on the floor.
